The Hanging Bridge Experience (ThePineAppleFamily)

Last Saturday, when my husband had a client meeting in a resort located in Janiuay Iloilo, we also had a chance to explore the place... aside from the fact that we can get together as a family, i cant let the opportunity swept away to experience the hanging bridge... as a Mother, I always wanted to do something very memorable and this time a little bit unusual with my family...(Mom👩Dad👨Baby👶)

We did not realize that it's gonna be that far and very tiring just to get to the entrance, specially that i was carrying a toddler. whew! Sweat all over...😅

Yay!!! We are here! Seeing the entrance made us scream like waaaaahhhhhh!!!
at long last... hahaha 😂😝

Definitely a Nerve-racking Experience but was exciting and all we wanted is just to cross the bridge... will we survive..? of course... no looking back...

And since my arms were getting numb, i had to put my Hijo down for a moment to recharge my energy...💪😝 (he actually liked it, he's not afraid but i was, that he might run away...😁)

We're almost there... and i needed to carry this little guy again since it's scarier to just let him walk
beside me... oh my brave little man... (he got his immunization shots that morning, but he's just doing great, the pain on both arms does not seem to bother him.)

And Finally... here's the video to prove that we reached the finish line... hehehe... (Victory!!!) We're just proud we did it!!! 👏👍😎

Remember, life is like crossing a hanging bridge... it's hard and we fear if we can make it or not, but we will never know unless we try or do it...😉

Cutest nasty thing I've Ever seen!

Okay! before you react, let me tell you that nails are cut and clean and I am making sure of that all the time...😂😉

This boy is really learning a lot and somehow getting more independent each day... 

Yesterday we went to a store to buy some of his stuffs and of course our basic needs... We were in the counter (Daddy, Mommy and LO) to pay for our groceries and he was just standing few inches away from me... as I was keeping an eye to this naughty child of mine, he stared at me and said : Ma!(while pointing his finger to his nose). I answered, yes baby it's your nose... little did i know, he started picking his nose, and my immediate reactions was to giggle and take pictures...hahaha...(Sorry I just can't let this pass) I knew something was there!lol(you know what i mean). I told him to stop doing it but he never really gave up till he took that tiny thing out.(Success!) and that smile appeared...

I researched about nose picking for toddlers/children and there are several behaviors we should be aware about. Observe your child, if its habitual, then we should take actions to get rid of that unhealthy habit right away...

Baby Shower "Dowe GJ on the way"

There were things I was looking forward to when i was conceiving... and one of them was having a baby shower...🚼 (February 14, 2015)

I like it when they exactly know what to do with the place by just providing them some stuffs and a little instructions. (Apple Green Themed)

We entitled it "Kid @30 and Dowe GJ on The Way" since my husband Kid (his nickname) was turning 30 the next day, and so, it was a (Tipid Idea) lol.😂

Activities/Games, Prepared by my ever supportive and an on call friend Clarece.

We had: Baby Bottle Drinking Race🍼, Pass The Pacifier and Guessing Game.🙋

Prices and Giveaways on a budget.😍

And the hightlights, Food : Early dinner was served.😋

Act Like One

Awkward it may seem to those who do not understand, but many of us specially moms are naturally acting like our child/children...

 Not all of the time of course, but there are instances that we should do the things they do, eat the food they eat, sing the song they like, dance with them even in front of numerous audiences including strangers just to please our little ones...

You know what's my favorite..? Playing with him, simply because we enjoy it together, we interact and talk in a language that only me and him can comprehend.

We can never say how long we should do the above mentioned strategy... who cares..? What's important is that we value their childhood and that they will also value motherhood...

So, if you have kids, act like one, feel it and mean it, because childhood is not forever... time will come that they will outgrow us, and wishing they're babies once again...🚼

Picky Eater

If I would add a definition of a toddler, that would be a "Picky Eater"... When he was about 9 mos to 16 mos old, I remember he eats any food we're giving him... he also likes to eat with us during meal time and even will get fussy if we cant give the food he's pointing on the table at once... he likes to eat fruits like banana, orange, apple, mango (his all time favorite) and grapes... He also like to eat rice so much that he would neglect what ever the viand served as long as there's rice, he eats like there's no tomorrow (lol just exaggerating).

Lately, we noticed that little by little he would eat at no time, he only wants to play often and the energy seemed to be unlimited. And when tired and hungry, he will just get his feeding bottle and hand it to me. Just before i prepare his milk, i would still try to offer some food  yet he will cry and point his finger back to his feeding bottle... I guess you would agree if i say that this situation is tough... funny part is i literally act like Ms. Judy Ann Santos on her TV commercial (Lactum), unfortunately, it did not work... the flying spoon, the drama queen begging for her LO to eat, name it, done all that but he will just tease me and laugh at me in the end. Since he begun to be a picky eater, we even have switched his milk from Enfagrow to Lactum hoping that he will regain his appetite, and though not eating much, he would still get the nourishment his body needs. To my observation, switching to a new brand of milk did not really resolve the issue, neither worsen it (that's good thing though).

As of this time, we are having a new experiment that might help my toddler overcome his eating problem... will update not on my next blog but maybe in the future since i just started my analysis.😉

My Mortal Enemies. "Mosquitos"

"Tag ulan" (rainy season) in the PH...

Aside from the fact that the yard is wet and dirty, i couldnt find a good place to hang all the damp clothes after a whole day doing the laundry (yes whole day... since i have to wait for my toddler to nap or sleep before i can have it finally done)

But it is not the rain i hate the most... The Mosquitos!!!😭 They multiply and getting outnumbered when this season comes... and i loathe that even we did everything to avoid them they're still there... everywhere... 

They always attack my little boy...😰😥😢

Now, i want you to meet my friends that helps me a lot...

Mosquito repellent to make mosquito go away, calamine lotion and vaporub for soothing relief from intching once that tiniest vampires was successful with their mission (lol), lastly, scar removal ointment that helps to get rid of the marks they left and reduces inflamation. Because my child has the most sensitive skin i know...tsk tsk...

How did I wean My Child from a Pacifier

Why did we use a pacifier? As new parents we are too paranoid and willing to try everything that will benefit our child... A pacifier is known to reduce the risk of SIDS or Sudden infant death syndrome that for me is a relieve and we moms can sleep soundly at night without us worrying much...

When do you think is the best time for your little ones to say bye bye to Binky...?

Believe it or not i didn't really know when and how... but i found out that it should be stopped as soon as possible, most probably before LO turns 2yo... it's said to affect the teeth formation of a child due to prolonged use and maybe some health problems...

My LO has been using it since he's 3 mos old, and it has been a company to him as he naps and sleeps at night... aside from me, its his Lil friend (Binky) he wanted to be with all day...

I thought it would be hard for me to get rid of his pacifier but to my surprise we did it without any struggles...

The secret was, don't let him see it and always distract your LO, read books with him, play with his toys, give finger food and be consistent... it will only take 1 day anyways... Yes! no kidding... that's how long, or shall i say short the time spent to do the trick... and at 14 mos old he was already weaned from using a pacifier...

Why Blogging?

I have been reading blogs and learning so many things, and that i know i can also share of what i am going through as a mom... each mom is different, has her own style and ways in handling situations... some moms may experience the same thing yet the approaches are not alike. As for me, some of my approaches might work and some may not, but today, with the help of many moms all over the world we can do things easier in dealing any circumstances about motherhood... and that's why i start today to be one of the moms who care much about their family, specially their children, and i wanted to be a part of this society (Moms society) where all are proud to be a mother and never gives up no matter how hard it is to be one...

My Baby's first picture

Do you still remember the first time you saw your LO..? yeah, at some point you were too eager to see how he/she looks like but we're not gonna have the clearer view till the big day...

As I saw this picture, i was like in heaven, seeing my little angel... waiting for  him to come out and introduce him to the world was the best part i think. I couldn't imagine how this little tiny miracle live inside of me. That feeling was totally unexplainable... as i stared at my hubby smiling and not saying a word, meant so much to me...;)

I was 3 mos prego that time we have our first ultrasound. 

Now, he is 1 year and 7 mos.
